Delhi 26 January (KNB): The farmers, who are protesting from months on the Delhi borders to rollback the Farm Laws, on Tuesday entered into the heart of the Capital with their tractor rally and staged a protest at the Red Fort.

As the country was celebrating Republic day, the farmers too went inside Delhi with a tractor rally and stormed the famous Red Fort as a sign of protest against the contentious farm laws passed last year. During the protest, the farmers hoisted the flag on Red Fort beside the national flag.

However, the protest later took an ugly turn when the farmers clashed with forces after vacating the Red Fort. The situation in Delhi remained tense altogether on the Republic Day with the National media showing the visuals of unusual chaos taking place in Delhi coinciding with the celebrations on the other hand.

The clashes between the farmers and the police necessitated suspending internet services in some parts of Delhi to thaw the tensions that consumed one protester’s life. The other adjoining areas of Delhi also remained alert in the wake of the violence that broke out in the country’s capital.

Amid the protest and commotion, clear voices were heard from farmers to repeal all three farm laws in order to put an end on the ongoing agitation, continuing from months now. (KNB)
