Srinagar 27 November (KNB): Deaf and dumb athletes on Saturday staged a protest at Press Enclave here demanding fresh and fair elections of JKSD.
The scores of deaf and dumb athletes assembled in Press Enclave with placards in their hands and protested against the sports body in sign language. One of the placards reads: to hold fresh and fair JKSD elections with the participation of representatives of all districts.
While expressing their affinity to sports, the protesting athletes also showed a couple of placards reading that “the only support we have to live in the world is sports; Can’t live without lives.”
On demanding for the conducting of JKSD’s fresh and fair elections, the athletes also stated a purported reason on placards behind it: we want justice from the family rule.
However, on the placard, held by one of the protesting athletes, it reads that “don’t take us away from sports.” (KNB)
