Srinagar 04 June (KNB): In the wake of the Budgam girl’s death after a leopard ate her, DC Budgam Syed Shahbaz Mirza on Friday suspended a range officer based on his negligence towards the duty.
District Administration Budgam in a tweet said that DC Budgam suspends Range Officer Wildlife Deptt. Ompora for dereliction of duties in backdrop of leopard mauling 4 year old girl to death.
It further said that “Chairs Emergency meeting, key decisions taken in meeting to avert any further such unfortunate incidents in future.”
It is pertinent to mention that the district administration has already ordered to kill the leopard involved in the eating of the four-year-old girl on Thursday evening. (KNB)
