Srinagar 08 January (KNB): The current weather in J&K is expected to remain throughout the day with gradual decrease in its intensity from tonight, as per MeT department Srinagar.
As the Indian Meteorological Department again puts J&K in the Orange zone after keeping it briefly in the Red zone last evening, the Srinagar MeT department has expected the snow and rain to remain throughout the day. The MeT official said that the “current weather would most likely continue for the next 12 hours.”
However, it was also said snow and rain is continuing in most parts of J&K and expected a decrease in its intensity from this evening.
“(There will be a) significant improvement (in the current weather) from 9th morning onwards in J&K,” said the MeT official in its latest weather update.
In one of the probable impacts of the inclement weather conditions, the official included surface & air traffic’s disruption. (KNB)
