Srinagar, April 08(KNB): Indian System of Medicines (ISM) department have taken an initiative of distributing the immunity boost tablets among the front line workers who are on their duty day and night standing against the deadly covid 19.
Soon after the government announced a nationwide lockdown for 21days amid Covid-19, bunch of organizations have stepped up efforts to fight against the Corona virus, In the similar way , ISM department have also stepped into the breach to assist the front line workers by distributing Immunity boost tablets to them which will provide them extra immunity to resist the deadly COVID 19.
While talking to Kashmir News Bureau, Medical officer Ayurveda Dr Rouhi said, “We received the advisory from the ministry of Aayush, providing us the immunity boost tablets and now we are distributing these tablets among the front line workers who are fighting against the pandemic”.
She further said, “These tablets are not the drugs to treat covid 19 but they surely boost the immunity against the virus in the persons who are prone to such virus. So far we have distributed the tablets among the health line workers and the workers of SMC department and are looking forward to distribute it further among the front line workers of different departments.”
Meanwhile Dr Shakoor from the ISM department said, “The doctors of our department are working in high collaboration with the doctors and paramedics of Covid hospitals from the very beginning. The health ministry have supplied us immunity boost tablets and we have already distributed them among the doctors and all paramedical staff across the entire J&k.”
“Now we have started distributing them among the fontline workers of every department and it will definitely provide extra immunity to those who are prone to such virus against the pandemic Covid 19,” he further said. (KNB)
