Srinagar 8 July (KNB): India reported 45,892 new coronavirus cases and 817 deaths due to the virus in the last 24 hours, as per the data by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
The Health Ministry in its morning update said that India’s active caseload currently is 4,60,704 and the Active cases constitute 1.50 percent of total cases.
There have been 2,98,43,825 total recoveries across the country so far and 44,291 patients have recovered during the last 24 hours, the MoHFW said.
As per the Health Ministry, the recovery rate has increased to 97.18 per cent and the weekly positivity rate remains below 5 per cent, which currently stands at 2.37%
They said that the daily positivity rate stands at 2.42 per cent, which is less than 3 per cent for 17 consecutive days.
Moreover, as per MoHFW, 36,48,47,549 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive and 33,81,671 vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours.
They said that the testing capacity has substantially ramped up and a total of 42.52 crore tests have been conducted. (KNB)
