Srinagar 15 January (KNB): Director Health Services Kashmir (DHSK) Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather on Saturday said that both Covid and non-Covid activities would continue to function normally in all the hospitals of the valley till further orders.
As per a circular from the DHSK, the decision to keep both Covid and non-Covid activities functional in all hospitals was taken in consultation with Divisional Commissioner Kashmir.
It was further said that routine OPDs and Elective surgeries would also remain in operation as usual till further orders. “The decision of closure of routine OPDs/Elective Surgeries will be taken after taking into consideration the Covid19 situation as it evolves in the coming days,” reads the circular from DHSK.
However, it was also impressed upon all the Chief Medical Officers, Medical Superintendents and Block Medical Officers that the Covid19 protocols and guidelines should be strictly adhered to while the routine function of the hospitals is being undertaken. (KNB)
