Srinagar 8 January (KNB): Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation Gazanfar Ali today hailed the efforts of a sanitation worker Mohammad Akbar Sheikh for his commendable job in snow clearance.
A statement issued to Kashmir News Bureau said that despite heavy snowfall Akbar was seen clearing off snow from the lanes, by-lanes with utmost dedication while singing songs joyfully, entertaining people around, which motivated him as well his co sanitation workers too.
Commissioner while encouraging his efforts along with all the sanitation workers of SMC, who too worked hard while clearing the snow with great zeal and enthusiasm presented Garland to Mohammad Akbar.
On the occasion, Mohammad Akbar said that it has been been his approach while performing his duties even in times of crisis like heavy snowfall.
He said that he enjoys his work and always wants to deliver services for the betterment of people especially in such difficult times.
Meanwhile, Commissioner Gazanfar Ali also presented a cash prize to Mohammad Akbar to boost his and other sanitation workers morale. (KNB)
