Srinagar 9 December (KNB): Students pursuing Bachelors in Arts (BA) from Cluster University (Campus Degree College Bemina) allege that the questions of 3rd Semester Political Science paper was out of syllabus and almost no classes, whether offline or online, were conducted during the session.

A student (name withheld) told Kashmir News Bureau, “Most of the students are failing in this exam because the questions were too difficult as well as out of the syllabus. We were not taught anything throughout the session, and the study material that we had was incompatible to the MCQs which came in the examination.”

The aggrieved students also appealed to their college authorities to give them relaxation during the checking of the Political Science paper.
“The pattern of the paper was MCQ, and we were told about it just after the issuing of date sheet. We would have done better if the paper had been in descriptive form,” said one of the BA students.

Students further said that they are going to stage a protest and demand that the exam should be conducted again.

Talking to Kashmir News Bureau Principal of Govt. Degree College Bemina, Professor Nasreen Amaan said that it is only the handful amount of students making such claims, rest of the students were satisfied with the examination.

“Students personally told me to hold offline papers so that the menace of cheating during online examinations could be stopped,” she said.

She added, “There is the possibility of offline classes too in the future and examinations will also be conducted in offline mode with the likely abatement in the covid-19 virus.” (KNB)
