Srinagar 30 July (KNB): The Meteorological department Kashmir on Friday said that weather would likely remain overcast with light rainfall at some places of J&K and Ladakh today.
The officials in its Friday morning update said that as weather is currently overcast with light rain at most places of J&K and Ladakh, the same would be observed throughout the day in both UTs.
Today’s forecast by MeT is in line with its already prediction of intermittent rains from 28 to 30 July as the weather forecaster had said on 27 July that the good monsoon showers would be seen during morning hours in J&K on the three days. .
However, the officials also today warned about the chances of a brief spell of heavy showers to occur at some places of J&K and Ladakh, which could lead to flash floods and landslides.
“People are requested to remain alert and move away from places vulnerable to such events and don’t give chance to turn vulnerability into disaster,” said MeT official. (KNB)
