Jammu, Jan 20 (KNB): For the consecutive second day, the opposition parties National Conference and Congress in Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly on Saturday staged walk-out over the casualties on International Border (IB) and Line of Control (LoC) in alleged Pakistan shelling. Reportedly, the armies of India and Pakistan exchanged heavy fire and shelling for the third consecutive day on Saturday, leaving three civilians and an army soldier dead.

The coalition partner BJP was targeted by the NC and Congress accusing it of “drama and failing” in safeguarding the lives of those living along the IB and LoC. The NC targeted the MoS in PMO, Dr Jitendra Singh who, Ali Mohammad Sagar said has accused opposition parties of “being anti-national”.

“What has Dr Jitendra Singh said? This is condemnable,” Sagar told the house. “Are we anti-nationals? BJP has failed in safeguarding the lives of people.” The NC and Congress MLAs raised massive anti-BJP slogans asking the right wing party “where is your 56-inch chest” in apparent reference to PM Narendra Modi.

The BJP MLAs raised anti-Pakistan slogans. However, the opposition members retorted them: “you only know slogans.”

Earlier today the armies of India and Pakistan exchanged heavy fire and shelling along the International border and Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir for the third consecutive day on Saturday, leaving three civilians and an army soldier dead.
