BRO Celebrates 61st Raising Day; Organises Cycle Expedition, Medical Camps

Srinagar 7 May (KNB): As part of commemorating the 61st Raising Day of Border Roads Organisation (BRO), Project Beacon celebrated “Aazadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” by organizing multi-dimensional Cycling Expedition, with twin themes of Road Safety and Covid-19 awareness.

As per news agency Kashmir News Bureau, Five Cycling teams were flagged off from Kaman Aman Setu, ZojiLa Pass, Dawar, Jawahar Tunnel and Bhaderwah on 05 May 2021, to bring home the message of Road safety and Covid Precautions. The cycle teams were flagged in at HQ Project Beacon on 07 May.

However, as part of BRO Raising day celebrations, seven medical camps were also conducted under the aegis of BRTFs and RCCs of Project Beacon in Gulabgarh, Swas, Mohura, Bandipora, Haripora, Verinag and Rangreth.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Engineer Project Beacon reiterated BRO’s commitment to be in the forefront of Nation Building and be the best construction agency in the extremes. The BRO has always risen to the challenges and lived to its ethos, “We Will Either Find A Way, Or Make One”. (KNB)
