Srinagar 7 July (KNB): Legendary Bollywood actor Dilip Kumar breathed his last on Wednesday morning in Mumbai’s Hinduja Hospital. His burial will be held in Juhu Qabrastan at Santacruz Mumbai, 5:00 pm.
98 years old Actor was taken to the hospital on Wednesday last week after complaining breathlessness. The Doctor looking after him said that Dilip passed away due to prolonged illness at 7:30 am.
Moreover, a tweet posted from the Dilip’s official handle by a family friend Faisal Farooqui stated, “With a heavy heart and profound grief, I announce the passing away of our beloved Dilip saab a few minutes ago. We are from God and to him we return.”
People around the country are remembering the veteran actor and tributes on social media have been poring in.
Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi also expressed deep grief over the demise of legendary actor and said his passing away is a loss to our cultural world.
In a tweet, PM Modi said, “Dilip Kumar Ji will be remembered as a cinematic legend. He was blessed with unparalleled brilliance, due to which audiences across generations were enthralled. His passing away is a loss to our cultural world. Condolences to his family, friends and innumerable admirers. RIP.”
President Ram Nath Kovind in a tweet said, “Dilip Kumar summarised in himself a history of emerging India. The thespian’s charm transcended all boundaries, and he was loved across the subcontinent. With his demise, an era ends. Dilip Saab will live forever in the heart of India. Condolences to family and countless fans.” (KNB)
