Board Exam Mix-Up: Inquiry Ordered Over Wrong Question Papers Issued to Class 12th Students

Srinagar 20 March(KNB): The Government has ordered inquiry after unprecedented error in the distribution of examination papers.

The incident, which occurred on today, involved the erroneous distribution of 11th class question papers to 12th class students during the Board examination conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education.

The Government sanctioned an inquiry into the matter. A committee, comprising the Directors of School Education for both Kashmir and Jammu, has been established with the mandate to investigate the circumstances leading to the cancellation of the examination and to ascertain the administrative lapses that allowed such a mistake to occur.

The committee is tasked with a comprehensive review of the incident, including the sequence of events that led to the distribution error and the subsequent cancellation of the exam. Additionally, the committee will focus on identifying the individuals responsible for the oversight at both the supervisory and administrative levels.

The findings of this inquiry are expected to be submitted to the Administrative Secretary within seven days, as per the government order.(KNB)
