Bird Flu: Found in Crows, Migratory Birds in Kashmir’s Four Districts

Srinagar 23 January (KNB): The officials have confirmed the bird flu among the migratory birds and the crows in the Kashmir valley’s four districts following the authorities’ tracing of it in the wake of the Avian Flu scare.   

The bird flu which started from several states of India, raising the concern among people and authorities across India, the similar flu has been confirmed by the authorities in the crows and migratory birds in J&K’s four districts — Anantnag, Pulwama, Kulgam and Budgam.  

Pertinently, the government has lifted the ban on the import of poultry in J&K from non-infected areas and beyond the 10 kilometres radius of the bird flu infected zone. Whereas the case of bird flu has not been found among the poultry birds in Kashmir till yet. (KNB)
