Bear Attack: 26 Year Old Critically Injured in Sopore

Sopore 11 August (KNB): A 26 year old youth on Wednesday sustained critical injuries in a bear attack in Watlab area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Officials said that the young man had been attacked by a wild bear in the area during which he was left with critical injuries.

As per officials, the youth, identified as Mubashir Mushtaq son of Mushtaq Ahmad belonging to the Watlab area, was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, where from he was referred to a hospital in Srinagar for specialised treatment.

Pertinent to mention that in this year number of wild animal attacks have taken place in Kashmir valley, resulting in the death of several youth as well as children.

Wild life department had also taken up several measures to curtail such attacks and captured several wild animal. (KNB)
