Srinagar 11 Feb(KNB): Syed Basharat Bukhari, Vice President & Media Head of Jammu & Kashmir People’s Conference in keeping with the prior promise of full-fledged support for the struggle of the people of Karnah and Tangdhar for safer road connectivity for the region demanded that the construction of Tunnel at Sadhna Top connecting Karnah and Tanghdar and appealed the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH), Government of India to execute the promise made by the Honorable Minister for Transport, Shri Nitin Gadkari in the year 2018.
In a statement issued to News agency Kashmir News Bureau-KNB that Vice President of the Party also reiterated that more than 200 people have lost their lives during the past 6 years due to the unsafe and avalanche prone roads in the area.
Further, the Vice President also reiterated the position of the Party that the maintenance of safety of General Public is the duty of the Government and People’s right. The Vice President also expressed his deep affection for the people of Tanghdar and Karnah, statement added (KNB)
