Baramulla Police arrests Drug Peddler, Recovered 40 grams of contraband Charas like substance at Gokhama Kunzer

Baramulla 21 feb(KNB): Baramulla Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered 40 Gram of contraband Charas like substance at Gokhama Kunzer, Case has been registered.

                                                                                                                                                                           In a statement issued to news agency Kashmir News Bureau-KNB that, Police under the supervision of  Javid Ahmad-JKPS, SDPO Tangmarg assisted by inspr Nisar Ahmad, SHO PS Kunzer arrested Drug Peddler namely Bashir Ahmad Mir S/O Gh Hussain Mir R/O Ichgam District Budgam who was arrested during surprise naka checking established on specific information at Gokhama Kunzer.

During his personal search 40 grams of contraband Charas like substance was recovered from him and was taken into custody immediately.
Case under NDPS Act registered in Police Station Kunzer and investigations set in motion.

It is pertinent to mention here that the said person was involved in supplying contraband to local youth and drivers of tourist vehicles in Kunzer and Tangmarg areas.
General People of the area hailed the efforts of Baramulla Police and showed their willingness to support police to eradicate menace of drugs from the society which is the real sign of Police Public relationship, Police said in a statement.(KNB)
