Bandipora Administration Launches Village Census Exercise Across District

Bandipora, June 1 (KNB): The District Administration Bandipora on Monday formally launched the village census exercise across the district, with the survey teams being flagged off from the Deputy Commissioner’s Office Bandipora.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Bandipora, Shabir Ahmad, flagged off the census teams that have been deployed to various villages for conducting the enumeration process. The exercise aims to gather updated demographic and household data to assist in effective planning and implementation of government welfare and development programmes.

Officials said that the survey teams will visit designated villages and collect information related to population, households, and other key socio-economic indicators. The data collected during the exercise will serve as an important resource for policy formulation, resource allocation, and development planning.

The administration has appealed to the public to extend full cooperation to the survey staff and provide accurate information to ensure the success of the census operation.

Officials further stated that the district-wide exercise will continue over the coming days, covering all designated villages to generate reliable and comprehensive data for future governance and welfare initiatives. (KNB)
