Srinagar, Jan 22(KNB):Expressing a serious reaction to the protest demonstration of the Bajrang-dal against the Jammu-based Rohingya Muslims, Yasir Resshi, member of the Legislative Council, warns that if the oppression of Rohingaya Muslims is not stopped then its serious consequences will come forth.
Yasir Rashi issued a statement in this regard, saying that the Rohingaya Muslim became refugees in jammu to rescue themselves from the worst genocide of Myanmar Government but here too is a specific group known for sectarian thinking and Muslim hatred who continuously oppress them including their children and women, who are living in extreme condition of life.
Issuing harsh warnings in this case to Bajarang- Dal and other extremist parties, Yasir Reshi said that there is no fixed shelter for the refugees in the world and where ever they want to live temporarily they can, and it is also mentioned in United Nations Charter.
Yasir said, “If Rohingaya Muslims who are almost ten thousand in number, like to stay in Kashmir, Muslims of Kashmir, especially those of district Bandipora and Sonawar, who have full sense of oppression, will be happy to adopt them and for them every kind of hospitality will be provided.”
He appealed to the people of Jammu and Kashmir including Jamaat-e-Islami, Jamiat-e-Khalifa and Karwan-e-Islami to raise their voice against oppression going on to Rohingya Muslims, saying that in the present period there is no instance of such cruelty against the minority community and the brutal Myanmar government are in obsession in displacement of Muslims.
“None other country is ready to provide shelter to these refugees and in this regard if we will also remain silent, then our brothers will be claiming us in hereafter,” he further said.(KNB)
