Three Dumpers Seized in Khrew; Joint Action with Mining Department Leads to Recovery of Two More
Awantipora, October 23 (KNB): Awantipora Police have seized six vehicles, including five dumpers and one tipper, in separate actions against illegal mining and unauthorised extraction of minerals at different locations in the police district.
According to officials, Police Station Khrew seized three dumpers allegedly involved in illegal mining activities at Bathen during naka checking and routine patrolling.
In a separate action, Police Post Reshipora, in coordination with the Mining Department, seized two dumpers in connection with illegal mining.
Meanwhile, Police Station Awantipora seized one more vehicle allegedly involved in illegal mining activities.
Awantipora Police reiterated their commitment to taking strict action against illegal mining and urged the general public to cooperate with the police by reporting such unlawful activities to the nearest police establishment.(KNB)
