Srinagar 28 June (KNB): In the yesterday attack in south Kashmir’s Awantipora area of Pulwama in which SPO and his spouse died late night after barging of unknown militants in his house, an injured daughter also breathed her last on Monday.
As per police official, the attack was carried out last night on the SPO Fayaz Ahmad who died along with his wife following the unknown militants forced entry into their house in Awantipora’s Hariparigam.
During the attack, SPO’s daughter, 23, had inflicted injuries and died on Monday following her treatment in a nearby hospital.
Regarding the girl’s death, police on Monday said that “SPO Fayaz Ahmad’s daughter who was injured in a gruesome militant attack yesterday, also succumbed to her injuries at hospital.”
After the attack, LG said in his tweet that he condemns the brutal attack on the SPO and his family. “This is an act of cowardice & perpetrators of violence will be brought to justice very soon. My deepest condolences to the family of martyr & prayers for the recovery of injured,” Manoj Sinha added in his tweet. (KNB)
