Srinagar 16 September (KNB): In a shocking incident on Wednesday, a girl claiming to be an athlete took on Secretary Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council (JKCA), Nuzhat Gull at the Headquarters in central Kashmir’s Srinagar.
According to news agency Kashmir News Bureau reports, the girl, claiming to be an athlete, entered the JKCA headquarters yesterday while attempting to record a video on her mobile phone.
As she was asked by the Secretary Nuzhat Gull about the reason behind her actions, the athlete took Nuzhat by surprise inside her office chamber and used Martial Art chocking technique to strangulate the Secretary JKCA.
Other officials present at the headquarters had to put in quite some effort to release Nuzhat from the choke-hold as the girl’s technique proved to be effective. The Secretary sustained bruises in the incident and experienced pain as well.
The incident has drawn flak from the athletes of the valley and has been condemned by all. Sports, martial arts teaches discipline and to remain composed in any situation, they said.
Moreover, it was reported that prior to the incident, the girl had uploaded a video alleging that JKCA officials have been taking bribe for the verification of certificates.
However, JK Police has registered a case against the girl, who has been arrested under FIR No 83 of 2021 U/S 332 of IPC. Investigation into the matter has been taken up as well. (KNB)
