At -2.4 Degrees C Srinagar Records Second Coldest Night of This Winter Season

Srinagar 03 December (KNB): Srinagar’s last night almost assimilated to December Ist’s bone-chilling night, which was the coldest one of this winter season, as the temperature dipped close to -2.5 degrees Celsius.

As per the Meteorological department’s daily parameter register, the summer capital of J&K recorded -2.4 degrees Celsius last night and was the second coldest night of this season after -2.5 degrees Celsius was recorded on the night of December Ist.

Pahalgam in South Kashmir continues to reel under severe cold as minus 4.1 degrees Celsius temperature was recorded last night with tourist destination Gulmarg in north Kashmir recording minus 1.0 degrees celsius.

As per official data, temperatures in other parts of the valley were recorded as minus 1.8 degrees celsius in Qazigund, minus 2.3 degrees celsius in Kokernag and minus 4.0 degrees celsius in Konibal. 

Meanwhile, temperatures recorded in Kupwara was minus 2.8 degrees celsius and minus 5.6 degrees Celsius in Leh. (KNB)
