ARTO Kupwara Among 3 Transport Officials Placed Under Suspension

Srinagar 12 November (KNB): ARTO Kupwara and two other Motor Vehicle Inspectors have been placed under suspension by the government under rule 31 of JK Civil Services Rules (Classification, Control and Appeal) 1956 and directed the Transport department to initiate Departmental proceedings against the suspended ones.  

The officials of the Transport Department put under an immediate suspension by the government includes ARTO Kupwara Mohammad Mukhtar Sofi and two Motor Vehicles Inspectors viz. Khursheed Ahmad Kanna and Abdul Hameed Bhat. 

An order copy lying with news agency Kashmir News Bureaus reads that “Pending enquiry, the following officers/officials of Transport Department are hereby placed under suspension, with immediate effect, in terms of Rule 31 of Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal), 1956.” 

It was further ordered Transport Department shall initiate departmental proceedings (RDA) against the suspended officers/officials in terms of extant rules. 

“During suspension, the suspenders shall remain attached with the offices of Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir,” reads the order. (KNB)
