Army’s Northern Command Charge Took Over by Lt. General Upendra Dwivedi

Srinagar 01 February (KNB): Lt. General Upendra Dwivedi took the charge of Colonel of the J&K Rifles and Ladakh Scouts Regiments after the superannuation of Lt. Gen. YK Joshi. 

Lieutenant General Upendra Dwivedi was recently appointed as Northern Army Commander and has now become Colonel of Jammu and Kashmir Rifles and Ladakh Scouts Regiments. 

Lt Gen Dwivedi was commissioned into the 18th Battalion of Jammu and Kashmir Rifles in 1984 and has been an alumnus of National Defence Academy (NDA).  

In the career of more than 35 years, Lt. Gen. Dwivedi has been placed at different important positions. (KNB)
