Army Soldier Killed in Cross-LOC Firing in Rajouri

Jammu 4 February (KNB): An Indian Army Soldier was killed in cross firing along the Line of Control (LOC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district.

A defence spokesperson said that an Army soldier was killed on Wednesday in Pakistani firing along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district.

As per the official, the soldier identified as 24 years old Sepoy Laxman, a resident of Jodhpur in Rajasthan, sustained critical injuries in the cross firing and later succumbed.

He was the fourth soldier killed this year in cease fire violations along the LOC, official added.

Pertinently, Northern Command, Indian Army in a tweet saluted the sacrifice of the Soldier.
It said, “#IndianArmy #LtGenYKJoshi, #ArmyCdrNC and all ranks salute the supreme sacrifice of Sep Laxman; offer deepest condolences to the family.” (KNB)
