Srinagar 02 July (KNB): In an ongoing encounter starting late night in South Kashmir’s Rajpora area of Pulwama, one army personnel died after getting critically injured in the gunfight, as per an official.
The encounter started after cordon and search operation was carried out by security forces in the suspected area following the inputs about the presence of militants.
However, one army personnel is said to have died after shifting him to hospital when the said troopers got critically injured in the gunfight.
Earlier, police said that “Encounter has started at Hanjin Rajpora area of Pulwama. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow.” (KNB)
