Anantnag 13 Sep(KNB): Army Colonel, along with two officers, Major and deputy superintendent of Jammu and Kashmir Police were killed during a encounter with militants in the Kokernag area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
According to officials, Colonel Manpreet Singh, Major Ashish, deputy superintendent of Jammu and Kashmir Police Humayun Bhat were critically injured in the gunfight and died later.
The encounter was called off during the night which was earlier in the morning.(KNB)
