Will look after the matter says SSP Baramulla
Baramulla 11 August(KNB): J&K Apni Party worker allegedly thrashed a journalist while delivering professional duties during the one day meeting convention of the party in Khaipora Tangmarg.
According to reports reaching to news agency Kashmir News Bureau-KNB, Aaqib Khan a journalist was manhandled by Apni Party worker identified as Hilal Ahmad Mir.
“I was covering the event and suddenly Hilal Mir an Apni Party worker started thrashing me without any reason and abused me infront of family as the event was in my village Khaipora,” Aqib said.
The accused, according to Aqib, Mir had called him a day before of the event and harrassed him for uploading a post regarding the event on Facebook.
Meanwhile, the victim has submitted a police complaint against the said person in police station Tangmarg.
When KNB Contacted SSP Baramulla Rayees Bhat he said, will talk with concern Station officer and will look after the matter.
Despite repeated calls to the J&K Apni Party President, he could not be contacted for his comments. (KNB)
