Srinagar 2 March (KNB): Apni Party delegation under the leadership of Provincial President Kashmir Mohammad Ashraf Mir today visited Khonmoh along with party leader and DDC Chairperson Srinagar Malik Aftab, DDC member from Khonmoh Ms Shameema, and BDC Chairman Khonmoh Mohammad Hussain.
A statement issued to Kashmir News Bureau said that the delegation held interaction with the local inhabitants who apprised it about multiple problems faced by them both in Khonmoh A and B territorial constituencies.
The delegates were also informed by the President Khonmoh Welfare Association Zahoor Ahmad and Secretary Parvez Ahmad about the deplorable conditions of the roads in the area and shortage of safe drinking water supply.
Addressing the locals, Apni Party Provincial President Mohammad Ashraf Mir pledged that his Party is committed to the welfare of the common people and will strictly follow the public outreach programme in order to listen and redress their grievances.
“The welfare of the people holds a pivotal position in our party manifesto. Apni Party believes in highlighting the problems of the common masses and seeking their resolution,” Mir said.
He said that only peace and progress can assure the much-anticipated development across Jammu and Kashmir and Apni Party will leave no stone unturned to achieve this goal.
“We don’t believe in hollow sloganeering. We adhere to the principle of ‘politics of truth’ which demands sincerity and efforts at grass root levels. The welfare of people is our prime concern,” he further remarked.
On this occasion, Malik Aftab, DDC Chairperson Srinagar also addressed the public gathering.
He said the DDC members of Srinagar district would be always at the services of the common people.
“We don’t practice two-hoots but rather whatever we have promised to the people will be delivered in letter and spirit,” Malik Aftab said, adding, “We welcome all your concerns and grievances at any point of time and we will do whatever is possible within our jurisdiction.”
Ms. Shameema, DDC member Khonmoh, thanked the party leadership and also assured the inhabitants of Khonmoh that their sufferings will be mitigated at the earliest. (KNB)
