APHC pays tributes to late Mirwaiz Molvi Farooq, Ghani Lone and Hawal Martyrs

Srinagar 21 May (KNB): All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) on Sunday paid tributes to Mirwaiz Molvi Farooq and Abdul Ghani Lone on their 33rd and 21st ‘martyrdom’ anniversary respectively, and to the martyrs of Hawal.

In a statement issued to news agency Kashmir News Bureau-KNB, APHC said, In the martyrdom of Shaheed e Millat the nation lost a great selfless leader , the guiding force of whose beliefs and actions was safeguarding the concerns and interests of his people. His approach to addressing them was dynamic rather than rigid. He believed that Inclusiveness and dialogue was the best way to address concerns and resolve conflicts . It would create opportunities of growth for people as peace and fairness prevails. This would not only benefit people of JK but people of the entire subcontinent. But tragically on this fateful day at the young age of 45 , this great visionary’s life was abruptly and brutally ended , lost to intolerance and intrigue , depriving the people of J&K forever of his inspiring guidance and dynamic leadership in the most trying of times for them.
Paying tributes Shaheed Abdul Ghani Lone APHC said he was again a far sighted and fearless leader who sacrificed his life for his belief in a peaceful resolution of the Kashmir issue. He was an intellectual who connected with the aspirations of his people and advocated it wherever he got a chance to do so . APHC said that lone sahabs contribution in the formation of the people’s platform of All parties Hurriyat conference is pioneering and unforgettable . His brutal killing at the condolence meet of shaheed e Millat in Eidgah was another big blow and schlock for the people of J&K. statement added

All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) also pays glowing tributes to the martyrs of Hawal , brutally killed by forces while carrying the body of Shaheed Mirwaiz.

Meanwhile APHC said that conducting international summits in J&K to push a certain narrative , will not change the reality of the need to address and resolve the lingering Kashmir conflict peacefully best through dialogue among stakeholders , if peace and development of J&K is the goal.
