Anantnag 11 March (KNB):One militant killed in the gun-battle which raged yesterday between militants and security forces in Bijbehara area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Officials said that one unidentified militant has been killed in the encounter so far, while the operation is still going on.
Yesterday, officials said that a joint team of Police, Army’s 3RR and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Kandipora, Bijbehara area.
Upon reaching the suspected spot, militants opened fire upon the security forces which was retaliated with the same response, triggering off the gun-battle, officials added. (KNB)
