Srinagar 05 October (KNB): Anand Jain (IPS) has been appointed as the Inspector General of Police for the Jammu Zone, relieving Mukesh Singh (IPS), who held the position temporarily.
This appointment comes in compliance with the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India’s Order issued under endorsement F.No.140/03/2022-UTS.I dated 19.09.2023.
Mukesh Singh is now relieved from his duties in the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, to enable him to take up a new assignment with the Government of India.
Additionally, Anand Jain, who previously served as the Director of the Anti Corruption Bureau in Jammu and Kashmir, will now also hold the charge of Director, Anti Corruption Bureau, J&K, until further orders.-KNB
