Srinagar 14 October (KNB): Ram Navami puja finally took place at Durga Nath temple in the summer capital Srinagar, in which Kashmiri Pandits participated, after being not allowed by the administration earlier in view of the security scenario.

The puja was scheduled to be performed on the 12 of this month, as per a pandit, and was delayed by the administration here, owing to security reasons.

He said that the puja was performed today at the Durga Nath temple in the presence of devotees, who were low in number as compared to one observed in past years.

As per a reporter, despite the footfall of devotees at the temple being low, it did not stop them from performing the puja, which later on completed successfully.

It is pertinent to mention that Srinagar has recently seen the civilian killings in which both Muslims and non-Mulisms were killed, which triggered a fear in the minds of people and need for monitoring the security situation in the valley, especially in Srinagar. (KNB)
