AIP Holds Workers’ Convention, Party Reiterates Release of Er Rasheed 

Srinagar 18 February (KNB): Awami Ittihaad Party (AIP) on Friday held a workers’ convention in North Kashmir Kupwara’s Mawer Langate area.  

A statement issued here said that hundreds of workers attended the convention of Awami Ittihaad Party AIP in which the party reiterated its demand to release incarcerated party president Er Rasheed. 

The workers’ convention was called by party office bearers of Langate constituency where some core issues were discussed regarding the ongoing political scenario in Jammu and Kashmir. 

“Party welcomed the new panchayat halqas which are supposed to be included in the Langate constituency in the new delimitation process. Teams were constituted, and were assigned different halqas to look after the problem of people at ground level in newly included panchayat halqas in Langate constituency,” the statement said.  

Speaking on the occasion party spokesperson Firdous Baba said that AIP is the only party in the erstwhile state which has acceptance among people due to it coming true to expectations of the people and has never compromised. 

The convention was attended by DDC Khursheed Dar, BDCs Showkat Pandit Mir Bashir, Mir Tahir, Block Presidents Nazir Ahmad War, Farooq Wani, Altaf Dar and many others. (KNB)
