Accident Claims 09 Lives as Indian Army Vehicle Plunges into Gorge near Ladakh’s Kyari Town

Ladakh 19 August(KNB): At least Nine soldiers of the Indian Army lost their lives today in a tragic accident that occurred merely 7 kilometers away from Kyari town.

According to reports reaching to news agency Kashmir News Bureau that the mishap unfolded when the vehicle they were travelling plunged into a deep gorge, leaving seven dead and several injured.

The troops were en route from the Karu garrison to Kyari, a town located near Leh, when the accident transpired.

The Defense spokesperson in Ladakh said about the grievous incident and confirming that numerous troops have suffered injuries in addition to the unfortunate fatalities.(KNB)
