Srinagar 23 Sep(KNB): The Private Schools Association Jammu and Kashmir (PSAJK) has welcomed the assurance given by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir regarding the reduction of unnecessary No-Objection Certificates (NOCs) and regulatory burdens on the private education sector.
The assurance came on the occasion of the Aloha National Arithmetic Skill Competition, held at SKICC, Srinagar, where the Hon’ble Chief Minister felicitated the champions of the competition. Students from different parts of the country participated in the national-level event.
While speaking on the occasion, the Hon’ble Chief Minister assured the private sector in Jammu and Kashmir—including both school and higher education—that the Government would work towards creating a conducive ecosystem of “Ease of Doing” and “Ease of Establishment.” He particularly reiterated that, in the case of private schools, unnecessary NOCs and regulatory requirements would be reduced in the coming days.
President PSAJK, Dr. Baba Nazrul Islam, expressed gratitude to the Hon’ble Chief Minister and the Education Department for this positive and forward-looking approach.
“Private education is an important knowledge partner of the Government and is contributing significantly to the educational development of Jammu and Kashmir. We welcome the Hon’ble Chief Minister’s assurance and look forward to a more conducive, transparent and enabling environment for private schools,” Dr. Baba Nazrul Islam said.
He added that rationalising unnecessary approvals and reducing regulatory duplication would allow educational institutions to devote greater attention to academic quality, innovation, infrastructure, teacher development and student welfare.
Dr. Baba Nazrul Islam further expressed hope that the Government’s approach would pave the way for the development of educational hubs, knowledge parks and centres of academic excellence across the districts of Jammu and Kashmir, while also encouraging greater investment and innovation in the education sector.
“Ease of doing schooling should ultimately translate into better quality education and greater opportunities for our children. We are hopeful that the coming days will witness a stronger partnership between the Government and private education providers in building a progressive knowledge ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
PSAJK reiterates its commitment to working constructively with the Government to strengthen the education system and contribute towards making Jammu and Kashmir a leading educational destination.(KNB)
