Srinagar, August 14(KNB): In a significant administrative reshuffle, five IPS officers from the Delhi segment of the AGMUT cadre are set to join Jammu & Kashmir following an order issued by the Delhi Government’s Home Department.
According to the order dated August 14, 2026, issued pursuant to the Ministry of Home Affairs’ orders dated July 9, the officers have been relieved from the Delhi segment to enable them to take up their new assignments.
Their movement will take effect from August 17, 2026.
The five officers being posted to Jammu & Kashmir are Vishnu Kumar, IPS (2019 batch), Rajeev Kumar Ambasta, IPS, Deepak Yadav, IPS, Anand Kumar Mishra, IPS, and Satish Kumar, IPS.
The order states that the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi has approved the relieving of the officers from GNCTD/Delhi Police to the outside segment against their respective new assignments.
The latest movement is part of the wider AGMUT cadre reshuffle ordered by the Ministry of Home Affairs in July, under which the five officers were identified for posting to Jammu & Kashmir.
The August 14 order now formally facilitates their movement out of the Delhi segment, with the officers expected to assume their new assignments in Jammu & Kashmir from August 17.
The development comes as part of the Centre’s broader administrative reorganisation of the AGMUT cadre, which covers police and administrative officers across several Union Territories and states.
