CIK Carries Out Widespread Raids in Terror-Related Case Across Kashmir

Srinagar, Dec 16(KNB): Counter-Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) of the Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday conducted pre-dawn raids at several locations across the Kashmir Valley in connection with a terror-related case.

According to official sources, CIK teams, assisted by local police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), launched simultaneous search operations in seven districts of the Valley as part of an ongoing investigation into activities linked to terrorism.

The raids were carried out in Pulwama, Budgam, Kulgam, Srinagar, Baramulla, Anantnag and Kupwara districts.

Sources said the investigation pertains to terror-related crimes, including the online glorification of terrorism and alleged efforts to radicalise and recruit individuals into terrorist ranks.

The case has been registered under Sections 153-A and 505 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), along with Sections 13 and 18 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA). Further details are awaited.(KNB)
