Srinagar 04 Feb(KNB): A swift car carrying five persons collided with a divider at Bemina Chowk on Sunday and left one person dead, and other four passengers sustained injuries.
According to reports reaching to news agency Kashmir News Bureau-KNB that, three of the injured were rushed to JVC Hospital in Bemina, where one was declared brought dead.
The others were subsequently shifted to SMHS Hospital. The injured were identified as Iayat son of Hilal Ahmad Shangloo, resident of Chatabal Srinagar, Zahid Zahoor Son of Zahoor Ahmad Wani; and Hashim Nazir Son of Nazir Ahmad Kahanday.
Patients brought to JVC Hospital from Bemina Chowk were identified as Moomin Ah Mandoor Son of Mafeed Ah Mandoor, resident of Pampore Kadlabal (referred to SKIMS Soura); Fayaz Nazir Khanday Son of Nazir Ahmed, resident of Chattabal Pampore (shifted to SKIMS Soura); and Aiyed Bilal Shangloo Son of Bilal Ahmed, resident of Babadem, who was declared brought dead by doctors.
The police have initiated an investigation into the incident.(KNB)
