Police arrests 5 Gambers at Hurhandpora Palhallan

Baramulla 22 Jan (KNB): Police on Sunday arrested five Gamblers and recovered stake amount of Rs 4750, Playing cards in Hurhandpora Palhallan area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

In a statement issued to news agency Kashmir News Bureau-KNB that Police received reliable information regarding presence of gamblers at new colony Hurhandpora Palhallan jurisdiction of Police Station Pattan/ Police Post Palhallan , reacting on the information, Police Party of Police Post Palhallan under the supervision of Inspr Sarjan Ahmad SHO PS Pattan assisted by SI Aeraf Niyaz, IC PP Palhallan rushed towards spot and held five gamblers from the said spot who were identified as Mohd Altaf Khan S/O Ghulam Hassan R/O Dargam HurhandporaAejaz Ahmad Khan S/O Abdul HamidParvaiz Ahmad Khan S/O Ghulam RasoolAbdul Ahad Bhat S/O Abdul Aziz BhatMohd Ashraf Sheikh S/O Mohd Abdullah all residents of Wanigam Bala.Playing cards alongwith stake money of ₹4750/- were recovered from them.

Case under sections of 13 Gambling Act registered in Police Station Pattan and investigation taken up, statement added.
