Srinagar 20 December (KNB): Two militant associates of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) outfit were claimed to have been arrested by security forces on Monday in South Kashmir’s Pulwama.
Officials said that on specific information about the movements of anti national elements, Police Pulwama with assistance of 55 RR and 182 Bn CRPF arrested two militant associates affiliated with Jaish-e-Mohammad outfit.
Both the militant associates were involved, as per officials, in providing shelter, logistics and other support to the militant as well as in transporting arms and ammunition and explosive material for the militants in Awantipora and Tral areas.
As per police, the arrested militant associates were in touch with JeM commanders. The arrested ones have been identified as Umer Ramzan, a resident of Brabandina and Javid Ah Mala, a resident of Khelan. It was further said that an indiscriminate material of proscribed outfit JeM has been recovered from them.
However, a case under relevant sections of law stands has been registered against the arrested militant associates in Police Station Litter. (KNB)
