Srinagar 18 September (KNB): Bandipora sports fraternity is dismayed over the Physical Education Master (PEM) Khursheed Ahmad Shah’s likely bypassing of an order of his posting in Govt Girls Higher Sec. School, Sopore from Director Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), J&K.
The sports fraternity fears Shah’s retention in the office of Bandipora Youth Services and Sports Officer, where he was posted before order from DYSS and raised apprehensions of Shah’s continuing his unscrupulous past in the district with his unlikely complying to order from Directorate of Youth Services and Sports (YSS), J&K.
As per an order on 27th of August 2021 under no. Dir-YSS/Estt/3228-34, three PEMs were directed to join their new place of postings and among them one, Khursheed Ahmad Shah, who was then in the District Youth Services and Sports Office Bandipora was to be transferred and posted in Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School Sopore under the above order number, but never went to his new place of posting.
However, Shah was also relieved from the office of District Youth Services and Sports Bandipora on 7th of September 2021 under order no. Dysso/Bpr/Estt/21/1820-24 and was directed to report to Principal Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School for further duties. On the same day of issuing the relieving order, District Development Commissioner, Bandipora in communique to Director YSS, J&K seeks for retention of PEM Khursheed Shah in District Bandipora.
Almost two years ago, the Chief Education Officer Bandipora on 29-06-2019 had written to then Director YSS J&K for the suspension of Khursheed Shah under CSR article 128 and cited his unauthorised absence from duties.
Regarding Shah, Bandipora Sports Fraternity alleged unsolicited presence of him in sport related activities in the district Bandipora whenever the concerned was supposed to join his new place of posting after the issuance of order from DYSS J&K in this regard.
Given that the concerned PEM did not comply with neither the orders of Directorate of YSS J&K nor of the DYSSO Bandipora, the same was confirmed by the Principal of Govt Girls Higher Sec. School Sopore to KNB by saying that the concerned PEM has not joined the duty yet. “I didn’t hear anything about the order but I heard there is a person who has been sent to school but he has not joined yet,” said the Principal of GGHSS, Sopore.
On contacting District Youth Services and Sports Officer Bandipora Ghulam Qadir, he said that the concerned PEM was relieved from his office and was going to join his duty in GGHSS Sopore.
However, Qadir denied Shah taking part in any sport related activities in the district and reiterated that the concerned PEM was relieved from his office and was not retained after that. (KNB)
