Srinagar 31 July (KNB): India reported 41,649 novel coronavirus cases and 593 deaths due to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours, according to the data by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
As per the morning update by the Health Ministry, there have been a total of 3,07,81,263 recoveries across the country so far and the recovery rate currently stands at 97.37 per cent. Whereas 37,291 patients have recovered during the last 24 hours.
India’s active caseload is currently 4,08,920 and the active cases constitute 1.29 per cent of the total cases in the country, as per the MoHFW.
The Health Ministry said that the weekly positivity rate remains below 5 per cent and currently stands at 2.42 per cent. Whereas the daily positivity rate stands at 2.34 per cent and remains below 5 per cent.
Moreover, the MoHFW informed that 46.15 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under Nationwide Vaccination Drive. The testing capacity has been substantially ramped up and a total of 46.64 crore tests have been conducted. (KNB)
