Srinagar 12 June (KNB): India recorded more than 70,000 daily novel coronavirus cases and reported 3921 deaths due to the deadly virus.
Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Monday said that in last 24 hours, the country witnessed 70,421 Covid-19 cases, which is the lowest after 74 days.
The Active Caseload has now declined to 9,73,158 and is below 10 lakh after 66 days.
Moreover, as per the Health Ministry data, the total recoveries across the nation so far is 2,81,62,947, out of which 1,19,501 patients recovered during the last 24 hours only.
The number of recoveries continue to outnumber the daily new Covid-19 cases for the 32nd consecutive day and the recovery rate has increased to 95.43 per cent, the Health Ministry said, adding that weekly positive rate has dropped to less than 5 percent and is currently at 4.54 percent.
However, the daily positive rate is now at 4.72 per cent, which remains less than 10 per cent for 21 consecutive days.
Moreover, as per the Health Ministry, the testing capacity has substantially ramped up and the total tests conducted so far, across the country is 37.96 crore.
Under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive, 25.48 Crore vaccine doses have been administered so far in India. (KNB)
