Srinagar 7 May (KNB): Lieutenant Governor J&K Manoj Sinha on Friday greeted people of UT on the occasion of Jumat-ul-Vida, which is observed today by Muslims and appealed to people to follow Covid19 SOPs.
Jumat-ul-Vida is the last Friday of the auspicious month of Ramadan, which comes before Eid-ul-Fitr, a festival marking the end of thirty days of fasting.
LG Manoj Sinha in his tweet said that “I extend my warm greetings to people on the occasion of Jumat-ul-Vida. Such auspicious occasions provide an opportunity to offer special prayers and seek the blessings of the almighty.”
He added that “I hope that the occasion would further instill the spirit of brotherhood & compassion among people of all sects to create a harmonious & inclusive society.”
Sinha further said that his appeal to all people is to follow Covid Appropriate Behaviour, take necessary measures for creating awareness & stay safe.
Meanwhile, IGP Kashmir extends his warm greetings to people on the auspicious occasion of JumatulVida. He appealed (to) people to follow preventive measures and guidelines to contain Covid19 spread. (KNB)
