Srinagar 28 April (KNB): To impose section 144 in the Jammu and Kashmir’s Summer capital Srinagar, security forces were deployed in the city to implement it fully, said SSP Srinagar on Wednesday.
As the order for the imposition of section 144 came last evening from the Srinagar district administration in order to curb the spread of coronavirus by reducing the crowd of people to gather, SSP Srinagar Sandeep Choudhary said to the media persons that security forces have been deployed in the city from morning to implement the Section 144.
He said that the presence of the force would help in following the order of section 144 fully, the aim of which is to stem the virus from spreading.
However, Choudhary also appealed to people to not assemble at one place and follow section 144 to the fullest.
While regarding the rush of people in the local transport despite the government’s order of reducing the passenger capacity to 50%, SSP said they are thinking about it too and trying to find the solution for the same. (KNB)
