Srinagar 07 March (KNB): A low intensity earthquake with the magnitude of 2.9 was recorded on the Richter scale which hit Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday morning.
According to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS), a light intensity earthquake hit J&K at around 4:40:34 Ist with a magnitude of 2.9 and the depth of which was 5km.
However, the epicentre of the earthquake was recorded the J&K’s Doda area.
Pertinently, there were no reports of any casualty or property damage reported from anywhere, especially from rural areas where fragile structures generally remain vulnerable to minor tremors. (KNB)
