Srinagar 06 March (KNB): The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has deferred the reopening of classes for the students of Ist to Fifth by week, which earlier was scheduled to reopen from March 8.
In the latest announcement, the DSEK has ordered to reopen the classwork for students of lower primary from March 15 while upper primary classes, i.e., 6th to 8th, will resume their function from this Monday.
However, the classwork for students of 1st-8th was earlier decided to start from next Monday which in a recent decision has changed by the authorities to only reopen upper primary classes from March 8.
It is pertinent to mention that this decision came after the reporting of Covid19 positive cases from some schools in the valley after reopening institutions on March Ist for classes 9th to 12th. (KNB)
